Author and National Security Expert
Amit Dubey is a distinguished National Security Expert and a leading researcher in Artificial Intelligence and Quantum Computing and drives cutting-edge advancements in cybersecurity and technology.
Amit serves as a resource person on Cyber Security and Cyber Crime Investigation for various Indian Government agencies and police departments. He has been consulted by Parliamentary Standing Committees on Cyber Security issues and has appeared as a Special Expert Guest on the popular TV show "Kaun Banega Crorepati," where he was introduced by Shri Amitabh Bachchan.
A Commonwealth UK Chevening Fellow, Amit received training at the Defence Academy UK and earned his postgraduate degree in Cyber Crime Investigation from Cranfield University, Shrivenham. He has trained over 500,000 police officers, judges, and bureaucrats from India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Singapore, Dubai, and other regions.
Amit has been appointed to several key government task forces in India, including:
- Member of the R&D Working Group, Ministry of Electronics and IT, Government of India.
- Member of the Police Technology Mission, Uttar Pradesh, Government of India.
- Member of the Cyber Security Policy Draft Committee, Uttar Pradesh.
- Member of the BPR&D Content Development Committee, Government of India.
He is the host of the popular radio show "Hidden Files" on 93.5 Red FM, which reaches 20 million listeners weekly and is available on all major platforms. Amit also runs a TV show, "Cyber Crime ki Duniya - Bach ke Rahna," on DD National, a cyber crime thriller that airs every Sunday at 9 AM and 9 PM.
A prominent speaker at national and international cybersecurity conferences, Amit is regularly quoted in Indian print and electronic media on global cyber issues. He holds advisory positions with Indian banks and media houses and is frequently invited by various branches of the Indian government, including its defense forces, to train their cyber professionals.
CNN-IBN recognized him as a National Security Expert and featured some of his cases in the 2012 documentary "Cyber Warfare in India."
Amit is the author of six books based on his experiences in cyber crime investigation, including "Return of The Trojan Horse: Tales of Criminal Investigation," "Hidden Files," "Hidden Files-Unlock," and "Atharva." His work has gained significant attention, with a few of his books being picked up by popular OTT platforms for web series and films. A web series titled "Hack Crime Online," based on his book "Hidden Files," was released on Amazon Prime on November 10, 2023. He also writes regular columns in newspapers and contributes to the children's magazine "School Live" to raise awareness about cyber security.
Renowned for his hacking expertise and proactive approach to countering cyber-attacks, Amit's demonstrations, such as hacking a mobile device in just 10 seconds, have gained viral attention on social media.
With 22 years of extensive experience in the telecom and mobile phone software domain, Amit has worked with leading telecom MNCs like Samsung, STMicroelectronics, Qualcomm, and Tech Mahindra. He holds a B.Tech in Electronics and Instrumentation and an M.Tech in Telecom Systems from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur.
Amit has received numerous international awards, including the prestigious Golden Peacock Award in 2015 in Dubai for Best Innovation of the Year, Leader of Excellence by the Women Economic Forum, the Aegis Graham Bell Award in 2015 for Best Innovation in Cyber Security on Mobile Devices, and recognition from the Indo-American Chamber of Commerce in 2014 for Best Innovation for Smart City initiatives.
