JV Prasad is an independent actuarial consultant with his own practice based out of Mumbai. He is also visiting faculty at IIT Mumbai and teaches quantitative methods in actuarial risk management.
Before starting his independent practice, he was employed with Willis Towers Watson as the head of their general insurance practice in India. Prior to that JV Prasad worked with ICICI Lombard General Insurance Company Limited for around 15 years and in his last role served as their Appointed Actuary for around four years.
He has extensive experience in general insurance across reserving & pricing, product development, and strategic management.
